With the seven Hall of Fame candidates already inducted, it was time for the traditional Hall of Fame game. The Cowboys got the opportunity to take on the Bengals. The Cowboys were victorious in the pre-season opener 16-7 over the Bengals. The Cowboys defense started where they left off in 2009. The very first two defensive units kept the Bengals offense from crossing mid-field, the Cowboys first team offense drove down the field, on the opening drive led by Tony Romo connecting with all three of his main receivers. He first over threw Miles Austin but, came back to him the next play and completed the pass for 16 yards. Then he went Roy Williams way for a 21 yard catch, finally to Patrick Crayton for a 10 yard catch. Felix Jones had a fumble that was called back because of a Bengals offsides penalty but, couldn’t connect for a touchdown. We sent David Buehler for the field goal and it was good and ┬áhad four field goal chances and made three of them. Our defense played outstanding giving up one touchdown late in the second half. After Jordan Shipley a former Texas Longhorn ran a punt back 63 yards inside the Cowboys five yard line, leading to there touchdown. Other than that it was a well played game by the Cowboys.
